Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer well-known for his distinctive blend of soul gospel jazz R&B as well as R&B. The singer has worked everywhere from Broadway through the Democratic National Convention to the European scene of clubs and festivals. Sunshine, whose given name is Denise White. While she is living in Atlanta now, Sunshine is from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she began her career as a musician, playing and singing at the church in town. Her musical career began in Atlanta at Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice, Stalk You a House 12 was released only in Japan. The song has been remixed several times, and it is a mainstay of her live show. Her voice has also been a part of voice for The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005, she became the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. In 2007 Grammy and Tony award-winning vocalist Jennifer Holliday sought her out to be the director of choral for the theatrical production of Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was brought to the attention of the nation during 4 performances a day during the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine then went on to be asked to sing in the presence of the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
