Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress, who is primarily in Tamil as well as Telugu film, as well as to a few Malayalam films. She was awarded the National Film Award as Best Actress in 2018 because of her performance as actress Savitri and her role in the Telugu movie Mahanati. Additionally, she was awarded three SIIMA Awards as well as an Filmfare Award South. Keerthy Kumar is the daughter of filmmaker G. Suresh Kumar, and actress Menaka G. Suresh. Her early career was as an actress for children. Later, after studying fashion design, she was back to acting. In 2013, she played the role of lead actress in Geethaanjali, a Malayalam-language film. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy made her debut on Tamil projects in the year 2015, and started accepting projects from Malayalam. Her debut film was A. A. Vijay's romantic comedic Idhu Enna Maayam (2015) with Vikram Prabhu. However, the film did not perform well in the theater. The actress had to pull out of several films she had been making in 2015 such as Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye and Deekay's Kavalai Vedam in order to allow for bigger projects. Then, she worked in Rajini Murugan's Remo with two short films. Additionally, Dhanush and she played leading roles on Prabhu Solomon's Thodari. The film has been in the process of being delayed, and there are speculation of a release date after September 2020 under a different title, Janakitho Nunu. The film's premiere was in the film Nenu Sailaja featuring actor Ram Pothineni. Keerthy starred in Bairavaa produced by Bharathan and with actor Vijay.
